Games of Blood

2 to 6 players, about 20 minutes

Earthquake

Draft the land, then let it shift. Draft patches of fields, clay, ocean and wheat onto your board, then ride out the quake: five minutes of sliding to grow your two biggest terrains.

How it works

Four terrains, one board, one shake

  1. 1

    Draft

Tiles lie in a line with a pawn. Take one of the three tiles in front of it, rotate it any way you like, and place it on your 4x4 board. Everyone sees everyone.

  2. 2

    Shift

When the pool is empty, the earthquake starts: 5 minutes to slide tiles into the one empty slot. No rotating, no talking, and only you see your board.

  3. 3

    Register

Lock in a score up to 5 times. The live scoreboard shows everyone's best and who's ahead, until it goes dark for the final minute.

  4. 4

    Score

For each terrain, your largest connected area counts. Your score is your two best terrains added together. The highest wins.
